Meditation Class.
Take a break from your usual busy life and learn simple meditations to make your mind calm and peaceful.

Once we learn how to focus the mind we will discover that naturally, from within, we can experience a deep sense of peace and happiness and most of the stress and tension we experience in daily life will dissolve away.

There are some essential techniques you need to know for your meditation practice to become strong, stable and effective. Each week you will be taught a different technique including increasing your motivation to meditate, mindfulness and concentration. By the end of this course, you will be qualified and confident to begin your own daily meditation practice at home.

We tend to make the attainment of happiness more complicated than it is, by believing that we need things such as success, praise, status, looks or possessions to achieve it. The reality is that none of these things can give us lasting happiness and chasing them makes us prone to anxiety, frustration and disappointment.

This course looks at the bad habits we have and how to change them for habits that brings us health and lasting happiness. Many of our mental and physical habits cause us unhappiness. It seems we are forever caught up in a cycle of going to all the wrong places to try to make ourselves happy. We get into patterns of relying on small hits of happiness that bring discontent and turn into negative habits.

On this 4-week course, we look at how to build new habits by learning practical techniques that bring genuine happiness in daily life through the practice of meditation and Buddhist wisdom.
